Provide the tools and knowledge to enable students to learn how music can inspire them to create and express themselves.

What To Expect

The Franklin Music Academy summer camp is a week long journey of dynamic discovery through music and movement. This camp provides an opportunity for kids to explore the connection between music and movement by giving them hands-on instruction playing drums, guitar, keyboard, bass, and singing. Our kinesthetic approach connects rhythm, movement, and expression through yoga, dance, and performance. Campers will enjoy morning yoga class, music lesson workshops, instrument building, afternoon dance class, and a final performance at the end of the week!

Camp Rate

$375 per week

  • Flat rate with no surprise fees!
    • Includes registration fee
    • Morning snack for campers
    • Camp learning materials including instruments and sheet music

Westlake United Methodist Church

WUMC is a beautiful and well maintained facility located in Westlake, Texas that hosts a number of family-oriented events, daycare, and children’s service. We are honored to partner with the church to provide a fun and safe place for music summer camps in the community.


 Camp Attire & Food

Campers should dress for active play each day. Your child should bring or wear the following items to camp:

  • Comfortable shorts
  • Athletic shoes and socks – no flip-flops or Crocs, please!
  • Water bottle
  • Hat or cap
  • Sunscreen – we will apply sunscreen as needed if there is outdoor activity
  • Lunch
    • We will provide mid morning snacks. Consult with us about any food allergies.
  • Backpack to keep belongings together
  • Other items indicated in your weekly newsletter, such as a yoga mat.

Please label everything.
Please keep toys or electronics such as iPods, cell phones, and handheld gaming devices at home.

Health & Medical

If your child will be taking medications of any kind during camp hours, you must fill out a Medication Form. This includes over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol, Benadryl and vitamins. This form must be turned in to the Camp Director with the medication in its original container on the first Monday your child attends camp. All medications will be dispensed by the Camp Director per the label and your instructions. Medications abandoned at camp will be disposed of if not claimed in a reasonable amount of time.

We do not administer shots or epipen. If your child needs medication or insulin injections while at camp, you or another authorized party must come to camp to administer them when needed.
