Lesson Development
Lessons at the Franklin Music Academy was developed from over 15 years of experience teaching in both classroom and private settings. We understand the obstacles of teaching so our music classes are crafted to achieve only the best outcome. And it works! We concentrate our services around 4 core benefits that have delighted parents and won over kids since 2010.
Commit to Musical Growth = Real Progress
At the Franklin Music Academy, we believe that learning music is like learning a language—it requires time, consistency, and practice to develop. Many inquirers ask us how long does it take to learn music and really this can be answered a number of ways. The short answer is that it depends on time and effort.
Learning a new skill takes about 20 hours according to Forbes, but to learn a music, which includes the mental, physical, and emotional participation of the student will take much longer to master. To set students up for success, we encourage families to commit to at least one semester of lessons to see meaningful progress. However, the best value and growth in learning music are achieved over a full year at least or much longer.
How Students and Parents Benefit in our Music Classes
Many times a business will maximize their profits by packing a classroom. Not us! As our business grows we don't loose sight of what works. Our group classes hardly ever exceed 4 students giving each child the attention they need.
We designed our music classes to ensure you get return on investment. From our experience, the attention span of the student plays a large part in their success. Two factors affects an individual's concentration; the instructor, and the skill and experience of the student. This is why we tailor and customize lessons to the student's desired learning style. What's better is that our music lessons are competitive offering an affordable price point with lots of benefits for a monthly flat rate. Classes can be taken privately or shared with another student. The industry standard for private lessons is around $1.5 per minute.
Private or Shared Music Lessons
Whether you choose to select private or group music classes for your child is completely up to you. Neither one is better than the other. It really just boils down to the preference of the student and their learning style. Just keep in mind a couple of things.
- Private lessons are the most customized service and will automatically place your child on the fast track
- Group music classes are designed for students that enjoy learning with others and are great for beginners
